Rolling Your Leftovers

(Update:  Isa has organized a vegan bake sale to help raise funds for Haiti.  Please check out her fb link to participate and/or spread the word.)

Do you sometimes find several bowls and containers of various leftovers in your fridge and freezer?  Maybe some rice, or a bean dish, maybe some roasted veggies?  What to do with them?  Try spicing and saucing them up, and as I talk about in my latest T/S piece... get rolling!

Back in a few with some new recipe photos!

I love "Container Dining". That's what I call it when you grab leftovers from the frig and make a meal out of them!

Believe it or not, one of the good things to come out of my gluten free diet is not being able to go out to eat so readily. It helps us save money because needing to eat home (often the best way to avoid cross contamination)means we have to sometimes be creative with what is in the frig and pantry. It also means that the leftovers don't become science projects in the frig!

Ha, Debra, no doubt!! How you keep seven kids fed is beyond me!

Ellen, that's a good name for it; we always call it 'mish-mash' night! We too rarely dine out. There's just so little in our immediate area, and it's typically expensive and also disappointing for what we get in the end. Mind you, I would like to have the option of decent vegan take-out/dining *once* in a while!
