This year we didn't make it out, so I had to improvise and it looked nowhere near as good as that.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19150019.post-14217586001503582282008-12-30T15:53:00.000-08:002008-12-30T15:53:00.000-08:00Wow! But all joking aside I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the wonderful recipes that were part of my holidays. From the awesome cookies, particularly the maple and the chocolate chip to the real highlight, the Festive Chickpea tart recipe you gave out of the Vegan Freaks. Talk about a sum being greater than its parts! It was wonderful. How such common ingredients in such an easy recipe can taste so special is beyond me. But its a recipe that will always be a part of future holiday celebrations. Thank you so much!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19150019.post-17387906689360143122008-12-29T15:40:00.000-08:002008-12-29T15:40:00.000-08:00What a beautiful and colorful meal! My family picks up a slaughtered pig/ hormone injected turkey and opens cans of corn, peas and high-frutcose cranberry sauce, and asks eachother to bring "sides", clearly not vegan friendly. I kind of had to live on the canned veggies and a earth balance-less baked potato, because they only allowed me to brigna dessert. The loved your chocolate chip cookies from VLV and I brought Hannah Kinimsky's gingerbred truffles...MMM. Next year when I hold my own tree trimming party I'll make sure to use ideas from your menu! =] <BR/>Happy Newyear!Lacihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16356821875475944176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19150019.post-36246603584680785282008-12-29T14:30:00.000-08:002008-12-29T14:30:00.000-08:00Oh wow, you dishes sound amazing. Isn't it funny how everybody wonders what vegans eat on holidays, yet we spend weeks and months planning our elaborately festive meals? You know they just pick up a precooked turkey and some side dishes from the grocery store. Tsk!Eating Consciouslyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03044878305253616263noreply@blogger.com
