If you are still really wary about adding the hummus, you can either omit it - or try about 1 tbsp of cashew butter and 1 tbsp of tahini to lessen the tahini taste even more. You *can* make it without the tahini, but it loses some creaminess and texture. Adding more olive oil will help some if you do omit the tahini. Good luck! :)

Agreed, Kris. For me, hummus can become a meal pretty easily!!

Cool Carrie, you're welcome! I'm glad you were able to find a couple of things in there to perk up your sandwiches once in a while. :)Dreenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16551890320761504899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19150019.post-79559122977452452702006-11-28T20:15:00.000-08:002006-11-28T20:15:00.000-08:00Thanks for the article Dreena. I'm definitely going to have to make this, seeing as I still have not tried this recipe. (I know- shame on me). Would it be a crime to leave out the tahini? Or is there something I could substitute for it?

Thanks for all the sandwich tips!

-TeresaTeresahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17753640845806353841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19150019.post-53182755171855313902006-11-27T19:32:00.000-08:002006-11-27T19:32:00.000-08:00The BEST hummus recipe EVER!
