Luscious Desserts Chance To Win!

The Book Publishing Company has been featuring some of their dessert cookbooks through the month of October, and as part of this promotion is offering a giveaway!  You may be familiar with some of these titles:
Last year I did a brief review of Raw For Desserts. It is a very nice collection of raw sweet treats that can be prepared pretty much by anyone, with most recipes requiring fairly common ingredients - link to read more about this book.  A couple of years ago I ordered More Great Good Dairy Free Desserts Naturally.  I haven't baked directly from the book, but Fran's recipes are very well designed and incorporating more wholesome flours and sweeteners.  There are also photos in the book, and she combines vegan versions of some traditional favorites (ex: Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, Strawberry Shortcakes) with some unique and unconventional creations, such as Coconut Cloud Layer Cake and Cranapple Maple Pie.  Recently I received a review copy of Simple Treats, and while I haven't had a chance to bake from it, the recipes are all wheat-free (though not gluten-free), which may be of interest to many of you.

Now's your chance to enter to win a copy of Raw For Desserts, More Great Good Dairy Free Desserts Naturally, or Simple Treats... OR if you are the lucky winner, one of the other cookbooks listed above.  Simply link through here or on the "luscious desserts" button!  Good luck, I'm sending my readers the 'winning vibe'!  :)
In much of the industrialized world, we eat meat not because we have to; we eat meat because we choose to.  We don't need meat to survive or even be healthy; millions of healthy and long-lived vegetarians have proven this point.  We eat animals simply because it's what we've always done, and because we like the way they taste.  Most of us eat animals because it's just the way things are. Hey Dreena,

Thanks for the contest entry.

I'm 7.5 mo pregnant, my apetite is terrible and I go from having no apetite to being ravenous. Do you have any "vegan" diet suggestions as you have been busy raising your three girls. I work full time with 2 toddlers at home as well.
Any advice you have would be great!

hiya Allison, what kind of tips are you looking for? When you don't have much appetite, what kinds of things are you eating - and ditto for when you are really hungry? My first suggestion is to get some nutritional smoothies - esp green smoothies into your day when you don't have a big appetite, and then to have standby things ready that are nutritionally-rich - things in your fridge, freezer, pantry - soups/stews that are chock with beans/veg/grains, snacks with whole grains and nuts, maybe pick up some raw granolas to snack on when hungry and on-the-go. I can probably give you more help if you can pinpoint a little more about where you need help. (and congrats to you!) :)
