Interview with New Vegan Age

For those of you curious to learn more about my cooking (and about me I guess, even though I find that amusing - and my kids would say it's 'awkward'), I just finished an interview with New Vegan Age.

(I'm great with the run-on sentences!)

I was interviewed by Nikki Sabella, and she brought some really different and fun questions for me (ex: How many beans do I have in my pantry?)  LOL!  Love that!

I really enjoyed your perspective, Nikki, thank you for the interview, and to New Vegan Age for the feature.  :)

So excited for the new book. The idea for a vegan parenting books is wonderful. I'm raising 4 vegan little ones by trial and error and have many times looked for a vegan parenting book without success. It would be so nice to garner someone who's been a vegan for such a long time!

Great interview! Please do write a book about vegan parenting. That is a surprisingly untapped market and you would be great at it!

I'm looking forward to your new book. It sounds wonderful. I do hope it has a lot of pictures as that is I LOVE cookbooks that do. :) From the colorful cover I remain hopeful!

Great interview, and I would love a book about vegan parenting! Also, I am concerned that your new cookbook has too many recipes using nuts...my hubby and kids are severely allergic to peanuts and also tree nuts. I have all your other cookbooks, but I'm not sure about your new one. How many recipes use nuts?

Thanks you guys. :) I'm holding out hope for this children's book project to come together!!

Julie, there are certainly a good selection of nut-based recipes, b/c nuts offer a lot of variety for recipes. But, there are also quite a lot of nut-free recipes - baked goods, soups, entrees, side, burgers, etc... the one section that has more nuts is the ice cream chapter, b/c I use cashews often to create the creamy base. But, other than that there is a good range. I also offer nut-free substitutions for some recipes, mostly with school snacks/lunches in mind - so I have done that when I can. There are 200+ recipes in this book, more than any other book, so def plenty of variety!! :)
