Vegan Chocolate Bark

Yummm! I have started my annual tradition of making chocolate bark. The recipe for Sublime Chocolate Bark is from Vive le Vegan!, and this is my signature flavor - Almond-Ginger-Cranberry Dark Callebaut Chocolate!

I use a combination of semisweet and bittersweet Callebaut chocolate. I buy 16 oz baking bars from a Bernard Callebaut store, but I have even found dark Callebaut chocolate in bulk at my grocery store! My recipe uses 18-20 oz. (though I made this batch larger) of melted chocolate and 1 1/2 - 2 cups of a combination of dried ingredients that you like - toasted nuts, dried fruit, cookie or candy pieces - it's your choice! This chocolate is unbelievably smooth and really does melt in your mouth (a good quality chocolate should be smooth and rich).

The lower left photo shows the bark mixture poured onto the baking sheet. The chocolate is still warm and so is glossy. After cooling in the fridge, the bark is broken into pieces and ready for packaging in little gift bags!

This recipe is not at all difficult to make. Plus, it ideal for small gifts, or to make in advance for a party, or - to eat yourself! Go get your chocolate and make some!!

Thanks ladies! I must admit I usually make an extra last-minute batch because we (and especially hubby) have a hard time not taking just another little piece! Then, there's not much left for gifts!!

This is the season for munching anyhow, Harmonia... so live it up!
