Chocolate Pnut Butter Cookies

My affection for the Peanut Butter Zig Zag Soy Delicious ice cream (posted Feb 7th) inspired me to create these new vegan cookies.

Like all peanut butter and chocolate combinations, they are "more-ishly" delicious! And, like most of my sweets they are made without refined sugar and flour (these made with sucanat and barley flour).

These will be a new recipe in my next cookbook, and I would love a suggestion for a name. Coming up with recipe names is not a strength of mine! While I'd like to just assume the ice cream name, that's not an option... so, any ideas?

P.S. A note to my fellow Canadians feeling left out on some of the US flavors... Turtle Mountain informed me that by the end of Spring, several new flavors will be introduced in Canada!! These are Rocky Road, Turtle Trails (YAY!), Mint Chip, and Mocha Almond Fudge. They also encouraged US residents to visit their website for coupons and fill out their online survey for a chance to win a year's supply of ice-cream! Wow!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Corkscrew Cookies!

Lol! Too long! Guess I'm not too good at this either.

Hmm...they look like little volcanos to me (chocolate volacanos with peanut butter lava)...

Chocolate Peanut Butter Eruption Cookies

Chocolate Peanut Lava Bites or Cocoa Peanut Lava Bites (if they are made with cocoa)

Volcanic Chocolate Peanut Cookies or Volcanic Chocolate Peanut Bites or Volcanic Cocoa P-Bites

Chocolate Peanut Swirl Cookies

Wow... those look yummy. The first thing that comes to mind is the old Reese's commercial "you got your peanut butter in my chocolate" cookies... nah... probably too long of a name.

Haha! I was thinking the EXACT same thing as Chris. How weird is that?
Chocolate and peanut butter is one of my all time favorite combinations. I'm drooling. Can't wait for the cookbook! Hurry Dreena! Write fast!

Dreena,

I didn't know you were working on a third cookbook?! That's fantastic! When is it due out?

Tell me how I can score a free copy of The Everyday Vegan! I started reading your blog too late to get in on the giveaway =(

Wow I love the merge! Good idea, Dreena.
I'd probably do more peanut butter than chocolate, it's what I wish there was more of in the zip zag.

Probably the two things I love the most, together! I like the volcano idea: Chocolate Peanut Butter Volcano Cookies. I think I just started salivating . . .

Choconutters (probably because one could use almond butter in them, no?)

This is a hoot!! I love your suggestions and I'm going to mull a few over and come up with the final name. Just lovin' the creative ideas here - thanks!!!

Ms. Mercedes, it will be a little while before my next book hits the shelves... it takes quite some time to test recipes - even more with little kidlets running about! Have you been to Veg Blog to enter the contest for the Vive giveaway? If not, link over - www.vegblog.org. If you are the winner, and want TEV instead of Vive, that can be arranged no problem!

Jess, that's good feedback, thanks. I too want more pb in the zig zag. I made another batch of these yesterday and added just a bit more pb. I think I'll add even more next time - thanks! By the way, your pb sauce on your blog with all those sauteed veg and just right tofu - very yum!

Scrumptious looking. When will
the next book be out to add to

Hi! Great pictures! Again, I wish these screens were scratch and sniff!

It's great to see all of these visitors and comments!

What's in a name? EVERYTHING. Talk about pressure, eh?

I'll ponder this one for a while.
