Click to Give!

A few weeks ago I started experimenting with Google Ads. In my mind the ads have not been successful. I have spent a lot of time trying to block non-vegan ads but I can’t guarantee non-vegan ads won’t appear.

Last week I chatted with my husband about whether to simply get rid of the ads or find a way to make them useful. He proposed a "Click To Give" idea, and we decided to give ALL proceeds from these ads to charity.

In March of each year, I will report the numbers and post a scanned copy of a charitable donation receipt. The charity will be a Registered Canadian charity because I will be paying Canadian tax on the revenue. At this time I have not chosen a specific charity. I may choose more than one, with the general goal of giving to help others and to reduce suffering (human and animal). I will give monthly (or more frequent) updates of our progress as we reach new totals!

I love this idea because it allows all of us to do something great together with very little effort. It turns something sort of gaudy into something useful.

I encourage all of you to regularly click on the ads and invite others to do so as well. I am calling it the Click To Give campaign and it starts now.

So, please, go Click To Give! :)

And the first ad I see is Food Fight! I LOVE Food Fight and although I live close enough to visit the actual store, I will certainly click to give!

Thanks, Sis, yes, click, click, click... every time you visit!

Yes, liliy, how easy is that? You don't need to get up and get your credit card - hey, you don't need to even move - except your hand... to click. :)

Thanks Sheryle! I wish I had visited Food Fight when I was in Portland. The only 'free day' I had, they were closed. You get to visit AND click... thanks!

I know I've already commented on this post, but I couldn't resist not telling people this. There is a search engine called goodsearch.com that donates about a penny to your favorite charity every time you search. They have lots of charities to choose from, including vegan outreach and a few other vegan related charities.

I'm sorry I haven't been commenting much lately. I'm just overloaded with work and study. I visit and read posts, but don't always have time to comment.
This is such a generous idea. I clicked and found a wonderful website. I'll keep clicking!

Hi, Great idea.
By the way, I made your Thai Spicy Stew last night for today's lunch. I poured it over brown rice and Hubby and I loved it (The Pea wanted plain ol' rice along with bread and hummus). I think the combination of ingredients was just delicious. This stew is a repeater for sure.

Thanks twisted cinderella. :)

Liliy, that's new info to me - I'm sure others didn't know about it too... thanks for sharing. It's not something you can use within your blog though, right? Rather a search engine you use instead of google or another?

Hiya Carrie! Hey, I'm glad you're able to visit and read... though of course I love to hear from you too. Don't work too hard, have a little fun too! Thanks and take care.

Hey sweet pea! Yay!!! I'm stoked you loved the stew. The real thing looks better than the book photo too, huh?!! ...and tastes much better than you'd think looking at the photo! It's great with a little tofu or beans in there sometimes too, if you want to give it more protein. Though, with the veg and almond butter and over brown rice, it's pretty substantial as is. Thanks for the note, and I hope you're doing well.

Funny you should mention the picture b/c I didn't want to make the recipe b/c I didn't find the picture very appealing. I do remember you mentioning the photo shoot in your previous blog postings. Hubby is actually the one who chose this recipe. We were pleasantly surprised.
Things are going very well with the baby. Thanks for asking.
