NY Times Cooking Vegan Now?

Totally cool! Check out this NY Times article about the top vegan cookbooks. Apparently the Nina Planck story received so many e-mails (most ever!), they got to wondering... so, what's all this vegan stuff about and what are the top cookbooks to buy?

Vive is included, as are of course VWAV, Vegan Planet, and La Dolce Vegan.

Yes, let's focus on some good vegan cooking already!!

Sometimes bad press turns into good press! And it seems to be the case with this one. I love that this article was the #1 e-mailed, forcing the NY Times to publish this latest article. It still amazes me how many people have never heard the word vegan, and not even necessarily in remote areas, but big popular cities and such. The more people talk and hear about it, the more vegan friendly the world will become (I hope).

By the way, congrats on having a book on the top list! Can't wait for Eat Drink and Be VEGAN!

Hey hyphen_helena! I know, I'm quite stoked! Hoo-ah!!

Teresa, so true, and this *will* create more awareness for veganism, and I think ultimately more people will eventually start experimenting with vegan eating. I'm hoping with you... (and thanks!)

Thanks Kleo!! Yeah, vegan power! :)

I'm sooo glad to see that the NY Times is portraying veganism in a better light, after that revolting "Death By Veganism" article written by Planck. And I was delighted as well to see your name mentioned! congrats! I'm very excited for "Eat, Drink, and Be VEGAN!"

Wow - I own almost every single one of those books! Been loving your Sesame Tahini sauce on nearly every veggie I make recently - it saves the frozen broccoli! Thanks!!

The problem with what The New York Times printed is that it is wrong. The author tries to play off the information as what the best-selling cookbooks in the country are. They are, in fact, only the best-selling books on Vegan.com, a Web site owned by Eric Marcus. I do love your latest cookbook Dreena. It's very well done.
