Is it beginning to look a lot like Christmas?

Not in my house it's not!  We are officially moved in, but holy, we have work ahead of us.  I just wanted to post to let you all know that I'm doing my best to get back to you before the holidays, but I have some pressing things to get to first...

...not just the wine!  Mind you, I am dipping into it, and might be a bit of a boozer after these holidays!  Not only are we still moving around boxes, but I am reviewing the *final* page proofs of LTEV.  This is my last chance to catch any changes, and I need to finish by the weekend.

And... as I mentioned, we still have to get ready for Christmas.  No tree up, no decorations, no nuthin'!  The girls are reminding me every day "how many days are left until Christmas", and I am panicking just slightly.

So, please hang tight with me, and if you want some ideas for Christmas recipes for the big day or for gifting, do some searching on my older posts, you are sure to find some ideas.  And, I'll try to get back with a post for the holidays soon.  Will also show you some pics of my new office (ie the kitchen).  :)

And, pleeease tell me some of you are in the same boat.  Ok, not living amongst boxes, but surely some of you aren't ready for Christmas, right?!  Come on, give a girl a mental break here!

Haha! Funny comic. No, I'm definitely not ready for Christmas! I still have a lot of gifts to make.

Ah Dreena, we're in the same boat! Ok not the exact same but similar. I am just beginning to plan my holiday baking....and still want to plan a xmas menu. Plus I have 2 quilts to finish, other gifts to get, wrapping, etc. But all the pretty sparkley ornaments make it all worthwhile - well that and the wine :)

We just got our tree up this weekend. Still have gifts to make. Haven't made any cookies yet. No gifts wrapped yet. My house is far from being in tiptop shape for the in-laws. yikes

I don't decorate for "Christmas". So I'll never be ready! LOL

Don't worry I am in the same boat a little. I am, not ready for chirstmas at all , on top of that I still have lots of unpacking to do from when I moved 2 months ago.

I'm closer to being ready for Christmas now that I've given up on the idea of getting cards sent ... :) And our tree is really just a few branches at this point, after the grandkids and cats got done with it. We put what was left in a tree stand, so now we have a 2 ft tall tree.

"Well, it ain't Martha Stewart, that's for sure," is one of our favorite sayings ...

It seems to be one of those years! My husband and I work Christmas but will be hosting his family the 3 days before... no tree, no menu, barely any gifts purchased, and back to work on thursday! It will all come together for all of us. Hope the move went well and happy holidays!

I'm not ready either! We just put the tree up 2 days ago but living here in Sicily right now with 'Indian Summer' temperatures doesn't help either! I'm a German National and miss my white Christmas for sure! ;)

you guys have helped me settle down a bit. Thanks for that. Good to know others are muddling through these weeks and not prepped for a Martha visit, lol!

Lisa, that is so funny about the cats, and I often reference Martha too saying "well, Martha's not coming to check things out"!!

Thank you for sharing some holiday sanity ladies. :)

37 weeks pregnant. Toddler has pointed out that we are the only house on the street without lights...tree's up, but remains undecorated.

You're in good company :) There'll be stories to tell about this Christmas for a long time:)
