Recipe Testing Can Be SO Tough...
Yeah right!, you're thinking, as you take a look at this picture, huh? Well, yes, as they say... it's a tough job but someone's just gotta' do it!
Well, this time it wasn't too bad.! :) I mean check out these luscious bars!
Leslie's Bad But Good Bars for ED&BV, to be more specific. I made these once before, and this recipe is now sitting in the 'done' file. Yes! Getting there, one by one!!
These were so gorgeous when I cut into them, with that thick but not overly sweet ganache, that I just took a picture there and then, with the parchment still under the bars and remnants of chocolate around the edges.
If some of you newbies to my blog are wondering about the unique name of these bars, the story develops through the comments in my original post.
Really, there ARE days that recipe testing can be a pain in the vegan behind... I know, you feel my pain!

That photo is such a tease! That's the best way I can describe them.
Dreena, they look scrumptious.
Wow, those look incredible! Bad but good...? Where's the bad in that?! :)
Dreena, what a sweet! Thanks for personally dedicating these to me (or were you just trying to get me to come back to Blogland and comment!?). What a suprise!
And I'm with Laura, where's the bad?!
Oh Dreena, Here I am homeworking 'til waaay too late and I just knew there'd be something on your site to cheer me up!! Or is the wait to get hold of the recipe too much of a torment? I can't believe how good this new book is looking!! --Maureen--
They look sooo good and very chocolatey...that can’t be bad!!!
oh, man... it's friday, i'm at work and i got the three o-clock chocolate cravings.
why did i have to click my way to temptation???
-dayle
I most certainly do not feel your pain!!! So if you ever need me to do recipe testing for you (to have a truly empathetic audience) I'd be more than willing to sacrifice. ;-)
Yum, Yum, Yum. I'm with everyone else, where's the bad? I do love that you ended up with this name, after your original post. I just can't believe that you hadn't retested them sooner!

Thanks Helena...
and Laura - yeah, this is a time when 'bad' is definitely a good thing!
Leslie!!! Hiya! Well, it wasn't my intention to bring you out into the blog world again, but if it worked, I'm happier for it!! The recipe had 'own' your name, after the flow of comments and everything that was happening with you and your oven at the time. I just hope you like them too!! :) Keep in touch, D.
Maureen, I don't know if I cheered you up, or just contributed to a nagging craving, huh?! Thank you...
Scottish Vegan, they are *very* chocolatey and, yes, good!
Dayle, don't you keep chocolate at work? ?? ??!!! It's a workplace necessity!
Thanks Vivacious... the 'race is on' for me right now, trying to get everything done with my book and recipes, so I'll keep your offer in mind!
RK, I would love to say that my hubby and daughters love to be around, but sometimes they are a *bit* picky!! Esp the girls, they are funny about textures and certain seasonings. Picky poos! :)
Hi Teresa, I know it has been MONTHS since I last tested them, but I get in patterns with recipe tests - all the same, not sure how this one sat on the back burner for so long!!
dreena...when is the next book due out exactly?
