For the Chocolate Lover on Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all you devoted, loving veg dads out there! Since I always like to make my hubby a sweet treat on Father's Day, I decided to share a NEW recipe with you all for the special dads in your lives.

Remember this "Chocolate Dipped Strawberries" Pie?

You got it, folks! Link through for the recipe. Strawberries are in season, it's the perfect time to make this pie (and, it's easy enough to make this morning and enjoy later this evening).

Enjoy, and have a beautiful Father's Day. :)

Yeah!!! I was waiting for this recipe! I would love to make it tonight. I do not have brown rice syrup. Can I use anything else? If not I will make a trip to the store. Also what kind of chocolate did you use. I love dark chocolate but any will do and of course it has to be egg and milk free. We do have a co-op here that I go to. I am excited to make it right away!

Love the enthusiasm, Robin! Brown rice syrup is great b/c it gives a denser texture to the chocolate layer. But, I think you could get away with using maple syrup or agave nectar - the chocolate layer might be a little looser, but with the agar powder it shouldn't be too significant (just be sure not to omit the agar, it's very important to help set the chocolate with the coconut milk). You can use any dark chocolate you like, really - even chocolate chips if that's all you have. Good luck... hope you love the final product as much as I do!!

Wow what a great TREAT! Thank you so much for sharing. I love raw chocolate (cacao) and I just cant wait to try this out. I get a fine ground cacao powder from OrganicBeautyFood.com
I think I will use raw agave nectar as well. I am so looking forward to it. Be well. Thanks again!
