These Banana Nut Squares are a new raw dessert recipe that I mentioned on my recent TVA interview. Our middle daughter loves them, and they look and taste far more sinful than they really are - I love that!
Not too much more I want to say about them, mostly wanted to share some photos. Because really I need to get my butt back to editing my recipes so I can get some testers in line (I know you want to, and thank you for your e-mails and comments about testing).
Then eventually get this cookbook in order. Eventually...

I would love to be a tester for some of your recipes....
Those look great! I recently made Raw Carrot Cake and it knocked my socks off!! Raw dessert... yummy and no guilt!

Thanks!

Ohhh. That looks like the best raw dessert ever! Anything with bananas. :) Thanks for the preview, Dreena!
WOW! I can't believe those little beauties are raw. Anything with bananas and nuts is okay by me. Beautiful photos.
Dreena,
The Banana Nut Squares look fantastic. Thanks for the reminder about the TVA interview, the contest continues at www.tvarc.blogspot.com
You know that I will test recipes for you any day!
I hope you're having a great weekend.
just curious, why not list the ingredients?
Those looks heavenly! I love how that raw frosting of sorts looks on top- yum! I will definitely be waiting for any word about testing....
Oh, yes. Yummy, indeed!
yumalicious!! i doubt anyone could really resist though...good luck editing!
Looks very very yummy :)
Mmm I definitely want some of those! And they look perfect for lunch boxes too!
I love raw desserts. It is great to see these. Thanks for the post.
I could go for one of those right now. They DO look sinful.
I've got the TVA podcast downloaded, but I haven't listened to it yet. I'll do that today during my bus ride to work.
My kitchen is ready to go for testing if you need me!
Thanks a bunch everyone for your notes!
Anna, I still haven't tried raw carrot cake myself - I'd love to though - I should get to making it, but I'd really rather just be able to order a piece at a cafe or such sometime!
chuckhayes, I haven't listed the ingredients b/c I haven't yet finalized the recipe. I often get ahead of myself with recipe creations, and start testing new ideas before I get details firmed up in word - and even after testing it takes me time to get the editing done in word before retesting a dish. So, I wouldn't post a recipe (or the full ingredients) without having it tested at least a few times... just how I roll!
Carrie, I'll be sure to get in touch once I get my butt in gear with testers. xo
Those look so yummy <3
hi there,
these look great but i cannot find the recipe. I am looking around for something somple to do with bananas that doesnt need baking etc.
thanks.
kamalkitchen, I haven't posted the recipe just yet as I haven't finalized testing. But, if you need to use up some fresh bananas, try my cashew banana ice cream, here's the link: http://viveleveganrecipes.blogspot.com/2008/05/cashew-banana-ice-cream.html
It's *really* good!
*drool *
gee, I just ruined my hubby's laptop....
he will understand when I say the three magic words
"Banana"
"Nut"
"Squares"
oh, need a tester ? ;)
These look amazing!! :) And raw? WOWZA, too good to be true!
Looks delicious, Dreena! How much would my kids and I have to pay you (or beg you) to be testers?
Can't wait for the next cookbook!
